Mildred

Meet Mildred, a sweet, resilient, and incredibly grateful girl who is ready to find her forever home. Mildred arrived to us in a heartbreaking state, abandoned and covered in motor oil, very thin and unwell. With dedicated care and a whole lot of love, she has blossomed into a healthy and affectionate companion. She is a survivor, having fully recovered from anemia and ehrlichia, and is a distemper survivor with just a tiny sleep-time twitch. Mildred is calm, gentle, and truly deserves a soft place to land where she will be cherished.

Ideal Home

Mildred would thrive in a quiet home environment and is great with teenagers. She is not suited for homes with young children.

Ongoing Health

Mildred is a distemper survivor and may have a slight sleep-time twitch. She has fully recovered from anemia and ehrlichia.

Training & Support

Mildred is house-trained and known to be wonderfully gentle. She will do best in a calm environment.

Transportation

Mildred is located in Nanaimo (Vancouver Island). Approved adopters can have Mildred flown from Puerto Vallarta with a flight companion, meeting them at the airport. If a Canadian flight companion is unavailable during summer months, Mildred may fly into the US, and adopters can pick her up at Peace Arch Park at the border. Volunteers have successfully assisted with border pickups.
