Meeko is the epitome of a low-maintenance, high-reward companion! She's house-trained and a pro at crate time, often choosing to nap in her crate by herself. She absolutely adores cuddling and will happily burrow under the covers for snuggle sessions. Meeko is a dream for cat owners, as she's lived harmoniously with felines, showing respect, playfulness without being pushy, and understanding boundaries. She has a mild luxating patella that is expected to improve with a little weight loss, and potential allergies are being managed with a Zyrtec trial. Meeko is a charming mix of energy levels; she can be a boisterous playmate who loves tug-of-war or a quiet cuddle bug who enjoys being covered by a blanket. A few short walks and some yard time are all she needs to be a happy, balanced dog. She knows "sit" and "stay" and is working on her greeting manners, becoming less chaotic with more exercise and stimulation.
Ideal Home
Meeko thrives in a home where she can be the center of attention. Her high energy can be overwhelming for some dogs, so she does best with slow, structured introductions to new canine friends. She has an endearing resilience regarding other fears, like loud noises and large objects. While thunder and fireworks can be startling, she quickly recovers from surprise object-related frights and will investigate with encouragement.
Ongoing Health
Meeko has a mild luxating patella that her vet believes will improve as her weight trends downward. Potential allergies are being managed with a Zyrtec trial.
