Hi there! I'm Misty Mae, a sweet Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix with a heart full of love and a gentle soul. I weigh about 38lbs and my estimated birthday is May 14, 2023. I was rescued from a gas station and am so grateful for this second chance at life! My foster family says I'm a wonderful house guest – I'm housebroken, kennel trained, and love a good routine. I'm also a smart cookie, especially when treats are involved, so I'm always eager to learn new things! My favorite thing is being by your side, whether we're out and about or just chilling at home. I have a playful side, but I'm just as happy to snuggle up and enjoy a quiet evening with my favorite people. I'm gaining confidence every day and am so excited to discover how wonderful life can be!
Ideal Home
I get along well with small dogs and appreciate slow introductions when meeting new friends. Larger dogs can sometimes feel overwhelming for me, so a family who understands this would be wonderful.

Transporation
I am located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and is available to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles converted for dog transport. You will be able to track your dog's transport using the Life360 app and receive updates.
