Skipper

Skipper is a sporty and energetic girl looking for an active companion! She's a tripod, having had her front leg amputated, but that doesn't slow her down one bit. Skipper loves a good game of fetch and will happily entertain you for hours with her favorite pastime. When she's not playing, she's a total cuddlebug who loves to relax close to her people. Skipper is one of our longer-term residents, and she's developed a wonderful personality with those she trusts.

Ideal Home

Skipper would do best as the only pet in the home, as she is not good with other dogs or cats.

Ongoing Health

Skipper's leg has fully healed after amputation. Her adoption fee has been sponsored and covers spay/neuter, microchip, and current vaccines.

Training & Support

Skipper is learning basic commands like sit, down, and leave it. She is working on her leash manners but excels with a head halter and responds well to treats for redirection. Skipper may take some time to warm up to new people, but treats and a ball will help her feel comfortable and trusting.
