Twilight is an absolutely adorable 3-month-old Lab/Husky mix with a stunning black brindle coat and white accents. She was found as a puppy roaming alone and fending for herself, but she's now in our care and thriving! Twilight is filling out into a healthy, happy pup who is sure to steal your heart with her unconditional love and loyalty. We expect her to grow into a medium to large, high-energy dog who is intelligent, affectionate, and will be a devoted best buddy. She's already showing a keen interest in everything you do and wants to be by your side, making her a fantastic candidate for a family pet. Twilight has a gentle, friendly, fun, and active nature that will make her a joy to have around. While she's currently in the fun-filled puppy stage, with proper training and socialization, she'll grow into an amazing companion.
Ideal Home
Twilight would thrive in a home where someone is present throughout the day, as she needs frequent potty breaks and cannot be left alone for an 8-hour workday. We are looking for families who understand the significant time commitment and work involved in raising a puppy. Constant supervision is necessary for house-training and to prevent chewing. A family that will commit to crate training is ideal, as it provides a secure den for her. Twilight can be considered for homes with children over 6 years old. If there are younger children (6-11) in the home, the family must have prior dog experience and be prepared to actively manage an excitable puppy with excitable children, ensuring constant supervision. For homes without young children, first-time dog owners are welcome. A home with a good-sized fenced yard would be convenient for training, though not mandatory. She is not suitable for high-rise apartment or condo living.
Ongoing Health
Twilight has received all age-appropriate medical care, including being microchipped. She is up-to-date on vaccinations. She is too young to be spayed before adoption; this procedure is included in the adoption fee and will be performed by our vet. Adopters must live within an hour of Cambridge to return her for her spay surgery. Adopters will be responsible for continuing her vaccinations and all other necessary veterinary care.
Training & Support
Twilight is very treat-motivated and a joy to train. Her recall is already fantastic! We expect her to become a well-behaved dog with continued training. Immediate enrollment in puppy socialization classes and a minimum of Level 1 obedience school is required after adoption. We believe strongly in the benefits of post-adoption training for both the dog and their family.
