About Niko

Hi there, I'm Niko! I'm a handsome 3.5-year-old, 72lb Black Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of love and a nose ready for adventure. I was rescued from doggy death row and am incredibly grateful for my foster family, and I'm dreaming of finding my forever family to shower with affection. I'm described as a sleek black beauty with a huge love of water – if you see water, I'm going in! While I'm all grown up, I'm still young at heart and enjoy my toys and chew bones. I'm an explorer at heart, so nose work would be a perfect activity for me. I'm also an affectionate snuggler with my people and am well-behaved at home, so I won't bother you much. I'd love the opportunity to go hiking, camping, and explore the world with you. I get a bit nervous in crowded public places like stores, but I would enjoy a big park or somewhere less crowded.

Ideal Home

I would really prefer a nice fenced yard where I can put my sniffer to work and relax in the sunshine. I've done well with other dogs, especially puppies, but I tend to get a little too excited around cats, so a cat-free home is best for me. I'm not very food motivated, surprisingly for a Lab!

Ongoing Health

All core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies) are up to date. I am spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

I'm a well-behaved boy! I can get a bit nervous in public places, but I'm eager to explore new things with my forever family.
