Meet Lobo! This handsome 3-year-old Siberian Husky mix has been patiently waiting an entire year for his forever home. As of March 11th, Lobo officially became the longest-staying pup in our rescue program. While he's been incredibly patient, we know his biggest dream is still waiting to come true: a family of his very own. Lobo first came to us through our wonderful rescue partners outside of Cancun, Mexico, after surviving life as a street-savvy stray. Today, he's safe in Central Oregon, where he's staying at a sanctuary-style foster and boarding home. There, he gets to play with dozens of other dogs and enjoy wide-open spaces. He's doing well and making the most of it, but what Lobo really wants is something he's never truly had before: a home, a couch, and people to call his own. This striking Husky mix has the adventurous spirit and personality that makes the breed so beloved. He's active, intelligent, and always ready for the next outing. Hikes, snowy adventures, long walks, and road trips – Lobo is the kind of dog who will happily be right there beside you for it all. He's friendly with people and walks beautifully on leash. Like many dogs who spent time surviving on their own, he'll thrive with a home that offers structure, routine, patience, and love as he continues to settle into the rhythms of family life.
Ideal Home
Lobo would do best with an active person or family who enjoys the outdoors, a securely fenced yard or space where he can run and play, and a home with older, dog-savvy kids (or adults) who can match his energy. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Lobo is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. All known medical information is disclosed prior to adoption.
Training & Support
Lobo walks beautifully on leash but may need some refinement. He is not house/potty trained and will need consistent training and patience as he adjusts to indoor living. He is food/treat motivated, which will be a great asset in training.
