Ransom is a 9-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer who embodies everything people love about the breed: high energy, goofy, affectionate, and always making you laugh with his antics. He has never met a stranger and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. In fact, he'd probably go home with the mailman! Playful and always looking for something to do, Ransom's ideal life would include playing ball, hiking, or any adventure that keeps him active from sunrise to sunset. He knows basic commands like "sit" and is at least semi-house-trained. At just 9 months old, though, you should still expect the occasional accident as he settles into a new home and routine. Ransom is friendly with other dogs and would do best with a canine companion that either enjoys or tolerates his energetic, playful style.

Ongoing Health
Ransom will come to you already neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations (for age), and up to date on preventatives. He has been tested for heartworm disease and is negative. Additionally, you will receive a FREE GPS Tracker from Fi + 6 month subscription to their service. All pets receive an additional exam and health certificate issued by a state licensed veterinarian prior to travel. All pets will be bathed prior to adoption.

Transporation
Ransom is currently located in Lucedale, MS. He is available for transport to pickup locations every two weeks. You are also welcome to pick him up in person at the shelter at no cost. If choosing transport, there is an additional $175 fee.
