Charlie

Charlie is a handsome boy who is just over 1 year old and weighs in at 12 pounds. He's a bubbly fellow with a smile on his face most of the time! Charlie is a big lover and snuggler, who will either sleep with you or next to your bed in a comfy dog bed. He really enjoys being around his foster mom, especially when belly rubs are involved! Charlie loves basking in the sun and taking naps in silly positions. Outdoors, he enjoys running in a fenced yard, chasing balls, or simply lounging around. He's house-trained and crated when no one is home. Charlie gets along well with dogs, but another dog in the home is not required; he loves his person, and that's enough for this "home body" guy!

Ideal Home

• A physical fenced yard that is 4 feet or more in height.
• A retired person or adults who are home most of the time.
• No children in the home or visiting regularly, as Charlie gets spooked and will hide.
• Someone looking for an active dog who enjoys playtime but is also super snuggly and knows when to calm down.
• An adopter with previous dog experience within the last 7 years.

Ongoing Health

Charlie is up-to-date on all his vetting, including his neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchip.

Training & Support

Charlie needs to continue learning some basic commands. He loves dehydrated liver, which makes training easier! Charlie is a "home body" dog and prefers to stay home. He will jump over a 3.5-foot fence, deck, or gate, and he bolts through doors quickly. He needs to learn the "WAIT" command.
