Leela Lou Lovey is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, and to top it all off, she is absolutely adorable! Her most endearing qualities include her confidence in meeting new people, her constant happiness, and her amazing "satellite ears" that have a personality all their own. Leela Lou is believed to be a pit bull/lab mix, approximately 3 years old, and currently weighs 55 lbs. As with any rescue, her exact breed and age are a mystery. She absolutely loves people; the word "stranger" doesn't exist in her vocabulary. She's a natural at making everyone feel welcomed, greeting new acquaintances with enthusiastic kisses and adding to any fun without being overwhelming. She knows when to be social and when to relax, happily snuggling with guests or entertaining herself with her favorite toys.
Ideal Home
Leela would thrive in a home that enjoys hosting and having friends over, as she loves being the center of attention. She would also do best in a home with a backyard where she can enjoy zoomies and playtime. While she is dog-friendly and does well in public around other dogs, she would be happiest as the only fur baby in the home, soaking up all the love and companionship.
Ongoing Health
Leela is a healthy, spayed female. Her adoption fee includes all her vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, and a microchip.
Training & Support
Leela is crate trained and potty trained and knows basic commands like "sit." She is eager to please and motivated by treats, making any future training easy and enjoyable.

Transporation
Leela is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide through our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Transport includes real-time tracking, photo updates, and a dedicated Facebook event page for adopters. Texas adopters must pick up in the Houston area.
