Meet Hassie!
Hassie will happily convince you she's ready for every adventure you have planned. Second impressions? She'll be the first one curled up beside you on the couch afterward. At just 2 years old and 41lbs, Hassie is everything people love about a cattle dog – smart, loyal, and always happy to be with her people – but with a surprise twist... she's a little more professional cuddle buddy than workaholic.
Hassie's story almost ended before it really began. She found herself in a North Texas shelter, where she was running out of time before rescue stepped in and gave her the second chance she deserved. She's dog-friendly, crate trained, and potty trained, and always up for tagging along on hikes, road trips, patio lunches, or wherever life takes you. When the fun is over, she's perfectly content to spend the rest of the day relaxing by your side.
Ideal Home
Hassie has natural herding instincts and can be a little too enthusiastic about trying to organize fast-moving little humans. Because of that, she'd be happiest in a home with older children or adults who understand and appreciate the quirks that make her breed so special. She isn't looking for a perfect family, just the right one. Her only other request? A cat-free home. Cats are a hard pass for this girl.
