Meet Juice, a 4-year-old, 56 lb Black Mouth Cur mix with eyes that tell a story and a heart ready to love. Juice, also known as Joey to his foster, is a charming and affectionate boy who's been through a lot and is now looking for a peaceful, loving home to finally call his own. He adores his toys and loves nothing more than quietly relaxing with his favorite person, often resting his head and paw on your arm as a sweet gesture of connection. While he can be a bit shy and wary of new faces, slow and gentle introductions build his trust, and once he feels secure, he becomes incredibly loyal and devoted.
Ideal Home
Juice would thrive in a calm environment with patient, soft-spoken adults who understand that healing takes time. He's not a "problem dog" but a sensitive soul needing a safe space. A home without cats is a must, as he has a tendency to chase them. He'd be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can receive all the attention.
Ongoing Health
Juice has shown some food aggression with other dogs, which has been managed by feeding him separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, but this is easily managed by respecting his boundaries.
Training & Support
Juice is working on his leash manners, as he tends to pull when excited. He responds best to patience and kindness; harsh corrections can make him fearful. He is always crated when left alone due to a love for chewing, and he sleeps well in his crate overnight. While he's made great progress, he has had some potty accidents. He does great in the car but might need a little help getting in.

Juice is currently located with his foster. Transports run every few weeks. Once approved, he will be placed on the next available transport.
