About Wally

If you're looking for a best friend with movie-star looks and a heart of gold, Wally is ready to steal your heart! This stunning 5-month-old mixed breed pup is as sweet as they come. With his calm, laid-back personality, gentle nature, and love of cuddles, Wally is the kind of dog who quickly becomes part of the family. Wally is happiest when he's close to his people. If there's an open lap, he'll happily claim it—but if not, he's just as content curling up beside his canine foster sibling. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes, from tiny pups to his current 90-pound foster sister. While he can be a little shy when meeting unfamiliar dogs in public, he quickly gains confidence and bounces right back. Cats are untested, and because he does seem to have a higher prey drive, a cat-free home may be the best fit.

This handsome boy is highly treat-motivated, making him eager to learn, and he absolutely loves squeaky toys, sniffy walks, and spending time outdoors. He's been a dream in his foster home—he's fully house-trained, has not had a single accident, and will either whine or ring the bell to let you know he needs to go outside! At night, Wally sleeps peacefully in his crate in his foster family's bedroom, usually sleeping around eight hours with just one quick potty break. During the day, he's still working on feeling comfortable being crated alone. He'll happily relax in his crate while you're nearby, but he gets anxious when left by himself, so his forever family should be prepared to continue building his confidence with patience and positive reinforcement. He's also making great progress on his leash manners and enjoys evening walks where he can stop and sniff to his heart's content. Wally has taken everyday household life in stride, remaining calm through thunderstorms, vacuuming, blenders, and other typical noises. Wally is still a growing puppy and will likely be an active dog who enjoys exploring the outdoors.

Ideal Home

A home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely run, play, and sniff would be ideal. A cat-free home is recommended due to his prey drive.

Ongoing Health

Wally is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Wally is fully house-trained and communicates his needs clearly. He is still working on building confidence when being crated alone, and will need continued patience and positive reinforcement. He is making great progress with his leash manners.
