Rubie

Rubie is a sweet, playful, and energetic 4-year-old Border Collie who came to us because her family could no longer care for her. She's a smart pup who thrives on activity and loves to train, making her an ideal companion for an active household. Rubie is crate trained and fully potty trained, which will help her settle into a new routine easily. While she can be a bit timid around new dogs at first, she warms up and her playful side emerges once she feels comfortable. Rubie enjoys affection but prefers it on her own terms, politely letting you know when she's had enough. A fun fact about Rubie is that she loves to "fish" cucumbers out of her water bowl – it's her own unique game!

Training & Support

On leash, Rubie can show mild reactivity, such as pulling and occasional barking. However, she is easily redirected with treats, so continued positive, reward-based training will help her thrive.
