Estimated to be around 3 months old, currently weighing 17 pounds, and possibly a Labrador / Shepherd mix, Spruce Lee Penelope is a rescue, so breed and age are simply our best guess. What we are certain of is that this handsome lil guy is ready for a home with a lot of love and affection!

Spruce Lee is currently in a loving foster home, and hes loving every minute of family life. This wiggly pup is the perfect combination of playful puppy energy and sweet-natured affection. His gentle soul shines through in every puppy pounce and prance, and the way he uses his paws to ask for attention is sure to put smiles on all faces.

Its hard to know if you'll be more dazzled by Spruce Lees adorable spots or his wagging tail that just wont quit. Of course, his freckled belly is sure to make you giggle, if only because this lil guy offers it up for frequent belly rubs.

We do insist that Spruce Lee have a ridiculous assortment of soft stuffies for chewing and playing at all times, and he will reward you by encouraging you to join in on the fun with tug-of-war, tossing, and maybe sometimes kinda-sorta-fetching. (We predict he will become very good at this with training.) Be prepared to spend equal time snuggling as you do playing with this fun-loving fellow, though - when the playtime is all done, Spruce Lee will be the first in line for cuddles.

This entertaining pup is inquisitive and adventurous as most puppies are, but Spruce Lee has also started to respond to voice corrections this bodes well for the family that will put the effort into puppy training! Spruce Lee is still learning about the world around him and will benefit from continued guidance, training, and positive reinforcement as he grows. The lucky family who adopts him will get to enjoy all the special moments that come with raising a puppy while helping him grow into the amazing best friend we know he will be.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $1200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dogs growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap ranging from $100 - $1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
