Meet Nimbus! This sensational shepherd may be seven years old, but don't let his age fool you! All 87 pounds of him is ready to find a family that can match his good-natured enthusiasm for life! Nimbus had the opportunity to enjoy a few days away from the kennel and we just can't wait to share all we've learned about this spectacular senior! Right from the get-go, Nimbus aims to please! He is both house-trained and crate-trained! He got along fabulously with his foster fur sister and would love another furry friend in the home, though it's not a requirement. Nimbus plays gently and also has the ability to match the play style of the pups he's with. We noticed he does tend to have a prey drive so a home free of cats and small animals would be best. From the moment you meet him, this fun-loving boy is all about a good time. He enjoys all sorts of toys that he can proudly carry around and play fetch with. He will thrive with a family that can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and continued training to keep both his body and mind engaged. An adopter with breed experience is preferred. A yard for him to enjoy is a must for this handsome hunk (tie out or fence required). Nimbus is an intelligent, treat-motivated boy who already knows several commands, including sit, down, and shake. His foster family is able to take both food and toys away with no issue. While he's often on the move and eager to explore, he's also a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys attention and absolutely melts for a good ear scratch. Thinking of a road trip? Nimbus rides well in the car and does excellent on leash. He's ready to join you on all of your adventures. When he wants some love, he will gently nudge your hand for more pets and we dare you not to fall head over heels for this lover boy. At the end of the day, Nimbus sleeps quietly through the night in his crate.
Ideal Home
Nimbus will do best in an active home with adults or families with children ages eight and up. He may have the capacity to live in a home with other dogs as he got along wonderfully with his foster fur sister. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. A yard for him to enjoy is a must for this handsome hunk (tie out or fence required). A home free of cats and small animals would be best.
