This spectacular boy is house and crate trained, knows his basic commands, and walks like a dream on a leash. He's a smart cookie who can be motivated by treats, and his playful antics, like tossing a ball with a flick of his head, are sure to bring endless joy. Moose has truly blossomed in his foster home, making fast friends with a smaller, female foster dog. While he doesn't need a canine companion, he's certainly enjoyed having a playmate. His favorite things include running, investigating new sights and smells, and playing with other dogs. Moose is goofy, caring, independent, and endlessly curious. He was originally adopted as a pup, but the hustle and bustle of city life proved too much for him. Moose is meant for a life of freedom, where he can run in a yard and not be overwhelmed by constant new people.

Ideal Home

Moose needs an adult-only, quiet home where he can feel safe and secure. Strangers can be a bit intimidating for him initially, but with patience, he warms up beautifully. We have seen this firsthand with his dog walker! A good, fenced yard is a must, allowing him to express his inner "graceful Axis deer" and run to his heart's content.
