Meet Puppy!
Puppy is a spirited almost four-year-old Australian Cattle Dog and Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her dreams of finding a forever family. Her fawn brindle coat with white accents and spotted paws make her a sight to behold, and her playful energy is infectious! She's a goofy companion who's always ready to brighten your day. Puppy has blossomed into a bundle of love and joy. She's earned a "Basic Obedience" certificate and knows commands like "Place," "Heel," and "Sit" like a pro. She loves learning new tricks and her eagerness to please makes her a joy to train. Puppy is friendly with strangers and gets along well with her current dog and cat friends. She has a special bond with children and has become fast friends with a toddler in her current family.
Ideal Home
Puppy thrives on learning and is looking for an active lifestyle with lots of exercise and a fenced yard. Her ideal home would also have older children who understand her need for personal space, especially around food.
Ongoing Health
Puppy faces challenges with resource-guarding, especially around food, and may snap if she feels her food is at risk. She is an incredibly loving dog with much to give, but thrives with a family who can provide the training and understanding to help her manage these tendencies positively.
Training & Support
Puppy knows "Place," "Heel," and "Sit" and is eager to please, making her a joy to train. She does have a stubborn streak, common in her breed mix, and requires a confident, understanding caregiver.
