She's a strong, sturdy, and energetic girl with a happy, boundless personality, a beautiful tricolor coat, and deep brown eyes. Augusta is intelligent and devoted, making her a loyal companion ready for a new best friend. When she was first found, Augusta was unsure of the world and sometimes stepped into the role of protector, which could make her defensive. In one instance, when she felt uncertain, she reacted by nipping a neighbor on the ankle. However, with time, structure, and trust, her behavior has transformed, and she now responds beautifully to guidance and routine.

Augusta would do best with an attentive pet guardian who understands how to manage her interactions and provide ongoing structure. She thrives with an active lifestyle and would do well in a home where she can enjoy physical exercise and mental enrichment. She is best suited as the only pet in an adult-only home with a guardian who has experience handling high-energy dogs and is committed to maintaining her progress.
