Cody

Cody is a three-year-old English Bulldog with a heart of gold and a spirit of adventure! Despite a diagnosis of spina bifida, likely due to irresponsible breeding practices, Cody is a playful and athletic dog who loves to run, explore, and especially ride in the car. He's a sweetheart who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys walks of up to two miles, provided the humidity is low. Cody also seems to have a fondness for water!

Ideal Home

Cody would thrive in a home with owners who have experience with bulldogs and understand their specific needs. He is working on some separation anxiety and leash reactivity, so a patient and understanding family will be key to his continued success.

Ongoing Health

Cody has spina bifida, which affects his bowel and bladder control. While a strict schedule, good diet, and male wraps manage most "oopsies," occasional accidents may still occur. He also dribbles urine but can fully empty his bladder outdoors. Cody will likely require more veterinary care than the average bulldog, and adopters should be prepared for this. X-rays are available upon request. His foster mom has generously pledged $100 towards any future MRI Cody may need.

Training & Support

Cody is currently working on his separation anxiety and leash reactivity. Consistent training and positive reinforcement will be essential. His foster family is diligently working with him, and his new family will need to continue this support.
