Nico

Nico is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu mix, weighing around 12 pounds. He arrived at the shelter in heartbreaking condition, severely matted, neglected, and clearly not cared for. Despite his past, Nico is an absolutely wonderful little dog – sweet, gentle, playful, and very affectionate. He loves being around people, enjoys attention, and has a warm, trusting personality. He is a bit underweight but with proper care and love, he will quickly gain it back and thrive. Nico is the kind of dog who quietly becomes someones whole heart – loyal, loving, and always happy to be by your side. He deserves a family who will truly care for him, and in return, he will give nothing but love.

Ideal Home

Nico would thrive in a home where he can receive consistent care and affection. He has shown to be good with cats and children under 8. His compatibility with children 8 and up is unknown.

Ongoing Health

Nico is currently slightly underweight, but with proper nutrition and care, he is expected to reach a healthy weight. He has been spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Nico is noted as house-trained. He is a trusting and affectionate dog who will undoubtedly blossom with a loving family.
