Papi Chulo De La Calle is a 3-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a quiet confidence and handsome looks. He's the epitome of easy company, making him a joy to have around. His foster family describes him as a well-mannered, medium-energy gentleman with excellent dog social skills, great house manners, and an easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion. Papi is steady and not overly demanding, preferring to observe and sniff his surroundings rather than being the center of attention. He enjoys companionship but doesn't need constant entertainment, making him a wonderfully easy dog to live with. He's crate-trained, trustworthy in the home, a great traveler in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. While he takes a moment to warm up to new people, he quickly settles in to show his sweet and easygoing personality, handling new situations with grace.
Ideal Home
Papi would love a home with a yard for stretching his legs. He can happily live with other respectful dogs or be the sole canine companion. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Papi is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. He has also been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Papi is crate-trained, trustworthy in the home, and walks nicely on a leash with gentle guidance.

Papi is located in Texas and can be transported to various locations across the US and Canada. Transportation includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
