About Teddy

Teddy is a charming 3.5-year-old, 10-pound bundle of love, a delightful mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds! He was rescued as a matted mess and underwent a transformation after a necessary shave. His beautiful coat has grown back, though he'll need regular grooming to maintain his handsome look. Teddy underwent successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now enjoying clear vision after a period of recovery with eye medication. He adores being a lap dog and will happily snuggle up with his favorite person. While he generally gets along with other dogs, he can become overwhelmed by overly energetic pups who invade his personal space, and he's not a fan of sharing his food. For these reasons, Teddy would likely do best as the only dog or with a calm, older canine companion. He's well on his way to being house-trained and enjoys leisurely walks on the leash and car rides. Teddy is ready to be a devoted companion for the right person.

Ideal Home

Teddy would thrive in a home without children under 8 years old and with experienced dog owners. He would prefer to be the only dog or share his home with a quiet, older canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now healed. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza. He is also on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He can be snippy with his food and does not like to share. Consistent reinforcement of positive training methods will help him continue to thrive.
