Bear, an 8-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier weighing 7 pounds, is a purebred pup ready to find his safe, happy forever home. He's neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his shots. Bear is a tiny boy who just wants to be your shadow, loving to snuggle close, give sweet kisses, and relax beside you. He's playful but his favorite place is right next to his person, and he simply wants to feel safe, loved, and part of your world. Bear has a gentle, loving personality and thrives in a calm, predictable environment. He's about 90% potty trained and does well with consistency and routine. He is crate trained but would much prefer being out with his people. He is truly a velcro dog who just wants to be near you.
Ideal Home
Bear previously lived in a home with a young child and unfortunately had some negative experiences that have left him fearful of small children. Because of this, he will need a home without young kids where he can feel secure and relaxed. He does well with cats and other dogs and enjoys playtime but he's just as happy curling up for a cozy evening. Bear would be an ideal companion for a retired individual or couple, or someone who is home often and looking for a loyal sidekick. He also makes a wonderful travel companion thanks to his small size and easygoing nature, and of course, he loves to ride. Bear deserves a peaceful home with minimal chaos where he can settle into a steady routine.
