Meet Princess, a sweet 5-year-old, 16-pound lady with a heart as steady and sincere as her soft white coat sprinkled with black spots. Her one droopy ear gives her a permanently endearing expression, and she's simply looking for a calm, committed forever home where she can finally settle in. Princess is tolerant of other dogs and coexists peacefully, preferring a quiet companion over rowdy play. She does best with low-energy, respectful dogs who understand her need for space.
Princess was diagnosed with a brain cyst as a puppy, but a recent neurologist evaluation shows it's stable with no signs of growth or neurological concern. She is a resilient girl who has been through a lot, including a previous return to her original owner. Because of this, we are prioritizing stable, carefully screened placements to ensure her next home is truly forever. She has done beautifully with an 8-year-old child and enjoys gentle companionship. Her energy level is low to moderate, and she loves short walks, quiet time, and cozy evenings. Snuggling is her specialty, and she finds comfort in routines, especially mealtime.
Ideal Home
Princess would thrive in a calm, predictable environment. She would be happiest in a single-family home without shared walls, as she can be vocal with howling or attention-based barking when she hears strange sounds. She does best with calm, respectful children who understand her gentle nature. She is not crate trained and does best when left out with supervision, preferably near her people.
Ongoing Health
Princess has a stable brain cyst that requires no further imaging at this time. She appears to have functional sight but relies heavily on routine and predictability to feel secure.
Training & Support
Princess is transitioning from potty pads to outdoor potty training and will need continued patience and consistency. She is not crate trained and needs supervision when left alone.
