Luther is a sweet, silly, 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix who's full of love and guaranteed to keep you smiling! With his bouncy floppy ears and playful spirit, he's ready to find a forever home that will enjoy both his zoomies and his snuggles. He's a high-energy pup who loves a good chase and plays respectfully with other dogs. He's lived with a dog his size and has met cats, which he mostly ignored. Luther has also been gentle and loving around children as young as 6. He's house-trained and sleeps well in his crate, only protesting briefly. He's not yet ready to be left loose in the house as he's still learning what's a toy. Luther doesn't show any resource guarding with food or toys, even when hand-fed. He thrives in an active home but also knows how to relax once his exercise needs are met. He seems to prefer human interaction, but if you don't have another dog, we'll want to discuss how you plan to socialize him. Luther is affectionate and loves attention, melting for belly rubs and giving plenty of kisses. He can be a bit skittish at first with strangers but warms up quickly with gentle reassurance. He's still gaining confidence getting in and out of cars but enjoys the ride once he's in.
Ideal Home
Luther would do well in many types of homes, apartment or house, as long as he receives regular exercise and continued guidance. A backyard would be a bonus for zoomies, but daily walks and playtime are just as great. He doesn't mind if he's the only dog or has canine siblings, but he'll always choose his humans first.

Training & Support
Luther is house-trained and sleeps well in his crate. He can be somewhat barky when seeing other dogs on leash but walks beautifully side-by-side with a canine companion, and this can improve with training. He is not ready to be left loose in the house as he's still learning what is and isn't a toy.
