About Boulder

My name is Boulder, and at about two years old, I'm a black lab weighing in at a solid 55 pounds of pure, unadulterated energy. I love toys, especially for tug-of-war! My foster sister, Molly, and I have epic battles, and the toys never stand a chance. Outside is another wonderland for me. I loved crunching on ice chunks when we had snow, and rocks are just little souvenirs I like to bring inside. I zoom around the yard all day and use a pet door to come and go as I please. I ring bells on the door when I need to go outside to potty. I'm learning to enjoy car rides and was curious on my first one. I also love walks and get excited when my leash comes out, and I'm making progress with my leash manners. I was pretty scared of everything when I arrived at my foster home, but I'm learning to have confidence, even though strangers are still scary. I love my people so much and will need them to be patient with me as I learn the world is not a scary place. Life is so much better now, and I've learned to sit pretty for treats.

Ideal Home

I'd do best in a home with another dog or two to play with. A big yard is a must for me to run and play, and maybe not with little kids because I get a little rambunctious. And belly rubs, of course!

Training & Support

I'm still working on my leash manners and can be a bit rambunctious. Strangers are still scary for me, and I will need patience as I gain confidence and learn the world isn't a scary place. I've learned to sit pretty for treats and use bells to signal when I need to potty.
