Bullseye is a 6.5-month-old male Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He is the biggest pup in his litter but also the most introverted, often observing before joining in the fun. He is gentle, thoughtful, and possesses a calm presence. Bullseye enjoys dinnertime, belly rubs, scratches, and snuggling. He is equally playful and reserved, happy to join in wrestling with his siblings but also content to soak up affection. He has been raised with his littermates and mother and enjoys playing with other dogs. He has been around children and has done well but has not yet been tested with cats. Bullseye has spent time in a crate and is continuing to build confidence with leash walking and basic obedience.
Ideal Home
Bullseye is looking for a family committed to reinforcing good manners, building his confidence, and helping him continue to mature. He would benefit from a home with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor him. Homes without another dog will need a detailed plan for continued socialization. Homes should also be prepared for someone not to be routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Bullseye is potty trained, but a few accidents should be expected as he adjusts to a new routine. He is continuing to build confidence with leash walking and basic obedience. Ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice will help him thrive. Continued socialization is crucial for his development.
