Meet Penny!

Penny came to the DNV Animal Shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed by her family. Approximately 4 years old, this sweet lady is ready for a fresh start where she can be spoiled and get all the love and snuggles she deserves. Penny adores people and is happiest when she is soaking up pets, cuddles, and attention from her humans. One of her cutest quirks is the little excited hops she does when greeting her people - it's impossible not to smile! She has great manners, including knowing basic commands. Penny enjoys lounging and snoozing and is generally a quiet companion - though she may let you know when she hears someone nearby! Penny also has a very playful side and enjoys outdoor time and playing with some toys. She's currently working on losing some extra weight, so she'll need a family committed to keeping her active with daily walks and play. This special girl is also receiving veterinary care for ear and skin issues likely related to allergies. She will need to remain on a hypoallergenic diet and have an adopter willing to support her long-term care needs. Ideal Home

Penny has shown some reactivity toward other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can enjoy all the attention to herself.

Ongoing Health

Penny is receiving veterinary care for ear and skin issues likely related to allergies. She will need to remain on a hypoallergenic diet and have an adopter willing to support her long-term care needs.

Training & Support

Penny is working on losing some extra weight, so she'll need a family committed to keeping her active with daily walks and play.
