Bert

Bert is a handsome, 5.5-month-old Great Pyrenees with a heart of gold and a spirit for adventure! He's independent and has a wealth of experience with a variety of animals, including cats, sheep, turkeys, ducks, chickens, and cows, thanks to his farm upbringing. While he's learned a lot from his farm life, Bert is now looking for a more relaxed role as a cherished family dog. If you're searching for a confident and food-motivated companion, Bert is the one for you!

Ideal Home

Bert would thrive in a home that appreciates his independent nature and can offer him plenty of opportunities for enrichment.

Ongoing Health

Bert is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. He will be microchipped and current on flea and heartworm prevention. A veterinarian will complete a health exam and issue a certificate within 10 days of departure.

Training & Support

Bert is food motivated, which can be a great asset in training. His farm background means he has a lot of exposure to different animals.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Our adoption fee for out-of-state adoptions is $300 plus transport, which varies by location. This fee includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, spay/neuter for pets 6 months and older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention.
• Adoption interviews and meet-and-greets are conducted via video call.
• Please note that adoptions are not on a first-come, first-served basis; we aim to find the best possible home for each animal.

Transportation

Bert is currently fostered in Texas. He is available for adoption and transport to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport.
