Charlie is a sweet and energetic Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix who's approximately 1½ years old and weighs 85-90 pounds. He was sadly left at a shelter and ended up on the euthanasia list due to lack of space, but thankfully he was given a second chance and is now ready to find his forever home! Charlie has a fun-loving personality and absolutely loves to play ball – especially tennis balls, where he enjoys a good game of keep-away! He's up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, crate trained, and fully potty trained.
Ideal Home
Charlie would do best in a home with teenage children or adults, as he may accidentally knock over smaller children in his excitement. He would thrive with an active single person, couple, or family who enjoys outdoor adventures and would make an excellent hiking or running partner. He prefers female dogs over males. A home without ties outs or electric fences is a must.
Ongoing Health
Charlie is up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Charlie is a very smart boy and already knows several commands including heel, sit, come, stay, off (no jumping), and gentle when taking treats. He is still working on "down." With his intelligence and eagerness to learn, he could excel in advanced training, agility, or even protection work. He rides well in the car and does not struggle with anxiety. His high energy level may be a bit much for a feline companion, and he has not been cat tested.

- Board approval and adoption contract are next.
- Finally, the adoption fee and transport arrangements are made.

Charlie is currently in a foster home in Ft. Worth, TX. Transport can be arranged by our rescue post-adoption.
