Ember

Hi, I'm Ember! My story started on the streets of Roswell, New Mexico, where I was found as a stray. Since then, I've traded uncertainty for safety, love, training, and an incredible foster family. At 3.5 years old, I'm house-trained, spayed, up-to-date on my vaccines, and well past the puppy chaos phase. I've watched puppies, seniors, and dogs who arrived after me get adopted, and I'm so ready for my turn! I enjoy playing fetch, going for walks, learning new things, snuggling on the couch, and spending time with my favorite humans. I'm smart, goofy, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. I've worked with trainers, know my basic commands, and genuinely enjoy having a job to do. New people can make me a little nervous at first, so I appreciate being given time and space to get comfortable, but once I do, my sweet personality shines. I've been waiting for over 1,150 days for my forever home.

Ideal Home

My ideal home is an adult-only household that will continue giving me the structure, patience, exercise, and love I deserve. I may be happiest as your one-and-only dog, but I could also do well with the right canine companion and a thoughtful introduction.

I am spayed and up-to-date on my vaccines.

Training & Support

I know my basic commands and have worked with trainers. New people can make me a little nervous, so I appreciate introductions that allow me time and space to get comfortable.
