Meet Sleepy, a bright and curious 5-month-old Blue Heeler puppy who's ready for his next adventure! Weighing around 16 pounds, Sleepy was rescued with his entire family and has been safely cared for since birth. He’s a smart pup who likes to take in his surroundings before diving into fun. Sleepy is playful, energetic, and loves to explore. As a working breed, he’ll thrive with a family that can offer him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation through training and interactive games. He gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around children, men, and women. With ongoing positive guidance and socialization, Sleepy has the potential to be an incredible lifelong companion.
Ideal Home
Sleepy would do best in a home that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. Families should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals, understanding they may require protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, is preferred.
Ongoing Health
Sleepy has completed his spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. He has also tested negative for heartworm and has a health certificate.
Training & Support
Sleepy is not yet house-trained. Our rescue partners invest significant time and effort into the rehabilitation of their animals, but it is often impossible to house-train every foster. Continued positive guidance and socialization are recommended.

Transporation
Sleepy is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. He is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, will apply.
