Roger

Roger is a handsome 5-year-old German Shepherd weighing about 80 pounds. He's a big boy who is currently on the skinny side, but with some love and good food, he's sure to blossom into a truly stunning, large, and handsome dog that will turn heads wherever he goes!

Roger's story is a tough one. He was found all alone in an abandoned house, far from anywhere. We don't know if he lived there, nearby, or was simply dumped, but it's clear that at some point, Roger was no longer needed and was left behind. He was understandably confused and scared, not understanding why his world had changed so drastically.

Despite his rough start, Roger has been incredibly brave and has slowly started to reach out to people. He leans in, offers affection, and gives gentle licks to hands and faces, all his way of saying, "I am a good boy. Please don't leave me." What Roger truly needs now is a loving and stable home where he can finally experience the loyalty and devotion he is so ready to give in return.

Roger is looking for a home where he will be loved and given the stability he deserves.

Ongoing Health

Roger is a bit skinny but is expected to gain weight and fill out nicely. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Roger is house-trained. He has shown positive interactions with dogs and children under 8. Further information on interactions with older children and cats is unknown.
