River

Hi there, I’m River! I'm a two-year-old pit bull/Australian Shepherd mix with a soft heart and teddy bear vibes. I weigh about 37 pounds and I’m the kind of guy who lets kids dress me in hoodies just for fun. That’s me—gentle, sweet, and always up for a cuddle. I'm crate trained and do well on a leash, but I'm still working on potty training. My brother was potty trained in two weeks, and since I'm past puppyhood, I'm confident I'll catch on just as fast! I love to play, especially with rope toys, balls, and my personal favorite—enjoying Beggin Strips! I get along great with kids and dogs and don’t show any food or resource guarding. I haven't been tested with cats yet, but I can be if you'd like. My manners are pretty good, though I do jump up when I'm excited. A quick correction and I settle right down!

Ideal Home

River would love a home where he can play and cuddle. He gets along well with kids and dogs. He has not been cat tested, but can be if you'd like.

Ongoing Health

River will be neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption.

Training & Support

River is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is still learning to be fully potty trained, but is expected to pick it up quickly. He can get excited and jump up, but responds well to corrections.
