Nona is a 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix who is as sweet as she is playful! She's in her confident older puppy phase, learning about the world and channeling her boundless joy into being the best girl. Nona is built like a little tank with a short, sturdy frame and an adorably front-heavy build. She's surprisingly fast and loves to zoom around the yard with her toys, always greeting her foster mom with an enthusiastic leap. Nona is a fantastic companion who loves being near her people and her whole body wiggles with excitement when she's happy. She loves meeting new friends, both two-legged and four-legged, and has had wonderful interactions with a tiny child. Nona has a funny, stubborn streak that makes her even more lovable. She's incredibly clever and enjoys puzzle toys, and she's learning new commands quickly, with "sit" already mastered! She enjoys walks of up to 2-3 miles and is a delight to have by your side once she arrives at her destination. Nona is fully crate and potty trained, and she'll let you know if she hears or sees something unfamiliar. Her adorable underbite makes her goofy expressions even cuter!
Ideal Home
Nona would do best in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She would thrive with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from, but she'd also be happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all the attention.

Nona is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Nona is working on her leash manners and would benefit from continued reinforcement of her potty training routine. She can get a little attached to a favorite toy, so a canine companion who is respectful of personal space would be ideal.

Transportation
Nona is currently being fostered in Austin, TX. She can transport out of state when matched with an approved adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation and runs every few weeks.
