Blackie

Blackie is the cutest! He's a sweet, fairly laid-back boy with a playful side, and he's not a big barker. This 4-5 year old, 12lb gem was found as a stray and thankfully landed in our rescue. He has a calming yet fun energy and absolutely enjoys human attention. Blackie is an easy keeper for his foster, who says he has age-appropriate energy but leans more towards the calm and mellow side. He's happy-go-lucky, does well on walks, and has been great with other dogs he's met. Blackie also likes to be around people but is perfectly content when left alone while his foster works. He's potty trained, good on leash, and does well in his kennel or a gated area when his foster is away. He enjoys toys, treats, and chew bones, and loves lounging in the yard or on his dog bed, as well as playtime and exploring outdoors. Blackie will make a great companion and a fantastic walking or car ride buddy to a lucky family. He's done well on car rides and even handled his grooming and bath like a champ!

Ideal Home

Blackie would do best in a home that can provide him with routine grooming throughout the year, and ideally has an established grooming reference.

Ongoing Health

Blackie is up to date on vaccines, neutered, dewormed, and is on flea and tick preventatives.

Training & Support

Blackie is potty trained, good on leash, and does well in his kennel or a gated area. He enjoys toys, treats, and chew bones.
