My name is Mister Clean, and I'm a charming 10-year-old "fake Shiba" with a heart full of love and a story of resilience! I came to SIRA after being found in rough shape, emaciated and with a severe flea infestation that left me with some bald patches. My tummy was full of things I shouldn't have eaten, and I was quite anemic with infected ears. But thanks to some wonderful vet care and a whole lot of tasty food, I've bounced back! My fur is growing in beautifully, my ears are healed, and I've gained some much-needed weight, now tipping the scales at around 28 pounds.
I'm a true snugglebug, loving nothing more than to cuddle with my foster family. My foster family has noted that I might have a disc issue in my back and possibly something with my hips, but honestly, it doesn't slow down my zest for life one bit! I love to zoomie around the house, complete with fancy pirouettes and couch-flinging, especially after a potty break. Walks are a joy, and I absolutely adore treats and belly rubs. I'm also quite vocal, letting you know if I need to go out or if I think you're hogging the treats! I'm fully house-trained and do well when left alone for short periods.
Ideal Home
My perfect forever home would have a cozy spot with a sunbeam for napping and a human who enjoys giving lap sits and rub-downs. A fellow canine companion would be wonderful, but I could also be happy as an only dog if I receive plenty of attention. A securely fenced yard would be ideal, but I also enjoy my leash walks. I haven't lived with children, cats, or small pets, so I'm unsure how I would do with them.
Ongoing Health
My foster family has been told I may have a disc issue in my back and possibly something with my hips. However, I'm not letting that slow me down! I'm neutered and vaccinated and ready for my next adventure.
Training & Support
I am fully house-trained and do well when left alone for periods. I do tend to speak up if I need to go outside or if I'm not getting my fair share of treats, so some gentle guidance on vocalizations might be helpful.
