Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. He weighs 53 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Smokey is a super sweet boy who just wants love and attention! He's very smart and a quick learner, with a kind-hearted and affectionate nature. Smokey is a total couch potato who's more than happy to hang out and relax with you all day, and he's the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, easygoing dog. He enjoys playing with other pups but also loves cuddling up on the couch. He is very submissive and doesn't have a mean bone in his body.
Ideal Home
Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. He would also do well in a home with a doggie companion, as he loves playing with other dogs and enjoys a good game of chase with them. Smokey would be best suited for someone with a house, not an apartment, and would love a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and only does his business outside. He walks great on a leash, though he can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, but he is easily redirected. He does get excited in the beginning and will pull slightly, but he settles in and walks calmly by your side once the excitement wears off. Smokey is not a huge fan of the crate and prefers not to be shut in. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, but he doesn't tear anything up and eventually stops crying.
