Ernie Maxwell

Ernie Maxwell is a sweet, though initially shy, young male Australian Kelpie mix. He loves to have zoomies in the yard and play with his toys. Ernie was rescued in Tennessee with his siblings, who unfortunately had a very difficult start to life. He's still learning to trust humans, and can bark at people at the door, but he's making great progress!

Ideal Home

Ernie does best on a harness and leash, and is still learning to trust collars. He gets along with most dogs but does not like cats and is scared of farm animals.

Ongoing Health

Ernie is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Ernie is working on his confidence with people and his leash manners. He barks at people when they arrive at the door, which is something that can be worked on with positive reinforcement.
