Meet Johnny!
Johnny is a 2-year-old, 32-pound pocket pittie with a tiny body, a big personality, and an even bigger heart. He may take a little time to let you fully into his world, but once you are in, you are in. He adores his inner circle more than life itself and loves his people with his whole little body. He is loyal, devoted, silly, and guaranteed to make you feel like the most important person in the room every single time you walk through the door. Johnny's two great loves in life are people and food. He is an enthusiastic helper and will gladly follow you from room to room to assist with any chore, especially in the kitchen where he remains hopeful for a shared morsel. Johnny has an impressively expansive palate and even loves fruits and veggies. He has been in his foster home for almost a year and has blossomed from a dog overwhelmed in a crowded shelter with poor impulse control and mouthy behaviors into a distinguished little gentleman with patience, consistency, and belief.
Ideal Home
Johnny is more of a homebody and does not prefer crowds or chaotic environments. He would be more than happy to enjoy the treasures you bring home from your weekly farmers market trip. He is good with other dogs, especially with slower, thoughtful introductions, and does best when given the time and space to feel safe and build trust.
Ongoing Health
Johnny is fully vetted, meaning he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is currently on Prozac, which is very inexpensive and has been helpful for him during transitions. He also takes Apoquel to help manage his allergies.
Training & Support
Johnny has worked hard on his impulse control and mouthy behaviors and has blossomed into a distinguished gentleman. He is crate trained and good on a leash.
