Meet Axel Rose, a handsome Basenji/Terrier Mix weighing in at 26lbs with an estimated birthday of April 5, 2024. He's the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between! Axel is a friendly boy who loves other dogs of all sizes and enjoys making new canine friends. When it comes to people, Axel has a unique way of introducing himself; he likes to "talk" and will happily let you know he'd love some attention. Once you walk over and say hello, his barks quickly turn into tail wags and affection. He simply wants to be noticed and loved! Axel's story began when he was discovered abandoned inside an empty apartment. Thankfully, a compassionate foster stepped up and gave him a second chance at life. Despite being left behind, Axel remains incredibly loving, trusting, and ready to find a family who will never leave him again.

Axel would thrive in a home that appreciates his vocal greetings and is willing to shower him with attention. We don't yet know how Axel feels about cats, but he can be kitty-tested for interested adopters.

Transportation
Axel is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee, with pickup locations potentially varying to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. Adopters can track their dog's transport using the Life360 app and receive updates.
