Chance

Chance is a handsome, goofy, and affectionate boy who is overflowing with love and ready for adventure, playtime, or a cuddle session on the couch! This one-year-old, approximately 60-pound pup is a smart cookie who already knows sit, down, crawl, wait, recall, stay, and come, and he's working on paw/shake. He's also crate and house-trained and sleeps quietly in his kennel at night. Chance loves toys of all kinds, especially balls, Kongs, and anything he can chew. While he's generally good on leash, squirrels and other dogs can be exciting distractions, and he may pull to investigate, so continued training and consistency will be beneficial. He can get a little jumpy and mouthy when he's over-excited, especially around new people or when several visitors arrive at once, but his foster family is helping him with these behaviors, and he's making great progress. Chance may bark at noises outside but settles quickly and looks to his people for reassurance. He thrives with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement.

Ideal Home

Chance would do best with older children (10+) as he can be jumpy and mouthy when excited. He is good with other dogs and loves to play with his dog friends. He has met cats and was very excited, so he will need a home that is familiar with proper dog and cat introductions.

Ongoing Health

Chance is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventative care, and he is microchipped with a lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Chance is making progress on his leash manners and can be jumpy and mouthy when excited. He would benefit from a family committed to continuing his training and helping him build confidence with positive reinforcement.
