Meet Sage PC! What a cool name, right? Sage is known to purge out that bad energy to make room for good vibes. Or good boys, in my case. I do hope you have a lot of room in your heart because I’m about 80 pounds of pawsitive energies.
My coloring is giving Super Sized Jack Russell Terrier, but my Foster Mom says I’m actually a Labrador/Husky mix. I’m ruffly 2 years old and already neutered. I am good with dogs and kids and came from a previous home that had 5 kids and two dogs. Unfortunately, my family fell on difficult times and moved away, leaving me behind. I am very loyal. When my family left, I waited over 2 weeks for them to return, but nope, they did not. The neighbor ladies fed and watered me and told me I was a good boy. It was scary going from an indoor dog to an outdoor fella. I ended up at the City of San Antonio animal shelter with a ticking clock. A neighbor noticed my plight, took pity, and is helping me temporarily until a permanent place can be found.
I am calm for my age and sweet, but can also be timid sometimes. I am a gentle giant, if you will. I hardly bark except to alert you to someone coming. Mostly, I just enjoy following you around. I’m a shadow, a Velcro type of dog. I enjoy to run in the yard and go on walks. I know how to do a "sit." I’m easy going and incredibly loveable. Foster Mom would keep me herself, but her other dog is more of an only dog. I’m just a visitor to him. What else? Hmmm, I enjoy my squeaky ball, my bed, and being patted. Plus, Foster Mom says my eyes are very striking and I should be giving eyeliner tutorials! I worry that I will be left to fend for myself again, so this time I really, really want a family that will never leave me. Foster Mom says the DogHouse ArtHouse will make sure to get me nice folks that won’t leave.
Ideal Home
Sage is a gentle giant who thrives on companionship and would love a family that will never leave him. He is good with dogs and kids and enjoys following his people around. He is not a good fit for a home with cats.
Ongoing Health
Sage is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Sage is potty trained and knows how to "sit." He can be a bit clingy due to his past abandonment, which is understandable. He enjoys walks and his squeaky ball.
