About Dozzer - Does he grab your heart?

Meet Dozzer — scruffy, spunky, and full of life! Dozzer is a precious pup who arrived in NJ from Louisiana. He came to us with his buddy Ariel after their mom became too sick to care for them. Now he’s ready to turn the page and find a forever home where his personality can truly shine. Dozzer can be timid at first, but if you’ve got hands, he’s ready for pets. He enjoys sitting on laps and is also happy watching you from nearby on the floor or couch. He is doing well in his foster home with lots of other dogs, including puppies, though he hasn't played much with them yet. Dozzer does not seem to be housetrained, but he is great in a crate and enjoys walks on his leash. If you’re looking for a best friend who will greet every day with joy, Dozzer is your guy. He’s ready for his fresh start — could it be with you?

Ideal Home

Dozzer is timid at first and can be hand-shy. He has met neighborhood children and is timid initially, but he has let them pet him if they move slowly.

Ongoing Health

Dozzer is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Dozzer does not seem to be housetrained, but he is great in a crate. He's great on a leash and enjoys walks. He is a little hand-shy so far, so we have him dragging a leash so that we're not grabbing for him. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

Application Details:

  • Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
  • His adoption donation is $500.
