Gaia feels like a warm hug after a long day, and her presence makes a house feel softer and more peaceful.

Ideal Home

Gaia would thrive in a home where she can quietly exist alongside her people, offering her comforting companionship. She has experience with children as young as 7 and has shown to be patient and gentle. She could live with another calm, respectful dog who matches her easygoing nature, preferring peaceful coexistence over boisterous play. Gaia has also demonstrated respect towards cats.

Gaia is believed to be approximately 3 years old and weighs 76 lbs. While her breed and exact age are a mystery, as is common with rescue dogs, her gentle soul is guaranteed.

Training & Support

Gaia is crate trained, has excellent house manners, and walks beautifully on a leash. She is described as having medium-to-low energy and would be happy with a comfy couch, soft voices, love, a few walks, and quality time with her people. She can be a little shy with new people initially, but melts with gentle, baby-talk encouragement. She bonds deeply with her people and may quietly wait near doors when they leave, hoping for their return, but this is not unmanageable.

Transporation

Gaia is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
