Malibu

Malibu is a beautiful red tri-color Australian Shepherd, born on September 7, 2023. She's a gentle soul who was born into a litter of 8 and is looking for her forever home. Malibu enjoys being by her human's side and showering them with kisses. She's been with us for almost two years and this was her only litter with us, though she had one prior litter with her previous owner. Malibu is a kennel kid, so she'll need patience and consistent training to adjust to house life. Once she settles in, we're confident she'll embrace being a couch queen! She's a breeze to bathe and groom and truly adores attention.

Ideal Home

Malibu would thrive in a quiet, structured environment with a single person who has a lot of time to dedicate to her. She needs a handler who understands her timid and anxious disposition and can offer gentle guidance without coddling. Malibu does well with other animals. She is territorial and can be reactive to strange dogs or people on her property, so a home with no children is a must.

Ongoing Health

Malibu is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She also received proper vet checks and health care before coming to us.

Training & Support

Malibu exhibits resource guarding at meal times, so it's best to feed her separately at designated times. She is uncomfortable with strangers and will try to retreat. Due to her reactivity, Malibu is offered under a "Professional Training Promise." This means a portion of her adoption fee will go towards professional behavioral training immediately upon acceptance, to ensure a successful future together. She is crate trained and does okay on a leash.
