About Nessie

Nessie is a big, beautiful, friendly, and engaging 1-year-old girl weighing 80 pounds. She gets along famously with everyone – adults, kids, other dogs, and even cats! We believe she is a Poodle/Great Pyrenees mix and she is expected to grow a little more. After her rescue, Nessie needed a haircut due to mats, and you'll see "before and after" photos showcasing her transformation.

Nessie is currently participating in the Paws in Prison program, where she'll spend 8 weeks polishing her manners and learning to be the best girl. We're confident she'll excel in her training and capture hearts.

Transporation

Nessie is currently located in Arkansas but can be adopted locally. She can also be transported to the New England area. If adopting in New England, you will need to pick up Nessie (or arrange for a trusted friend/family member to pick her up) on a Saturday in PA, NJ, or CT. Residents of other states may also adopt, provided they can meet our transporter along their route.
