Meet Hazel, a sweet-natured Shepherd mix who is ready to melt into your life and become your most loyal companion. At a portable 45 pounds, Hazel is a smart, gentle, and highly motivated best friend. She's a little shadow who lives for human connection and loves to be by your side. Hazel is social, playful, and currently thriving in a foster home with other dogs and a 4-year-old child. While she can be a bit reserved at first, she warms up quickly with slow introductions and becomes everyone's best friend. She enjoys running alongside her canine friends and is a great co-pilot. Hazel is crate trained and ready for her next adventure.
Ideal Home
Hazel would thrive in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and explore. She needs a home without feline friends, as she prefers to shower all her attention on her human and canine companions.
Ongoing Health
Hazel is up-to-date on all her vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She also receives a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative and has had a heartworm test.
Training & Support
Hazel is already crate trained and has been assessed by trainers.

Hazel is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
