This 12-pound, 3.5-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd mix is a true survivor who wandered up to a farmhouse after being dumped in a rural area. It took weeks for her to trust humans enough to eat from their hands and eventually come inside, but her resilience is inspiring.

Penny Jane is a lover of affection and pets, with belly rubs and cuddles being her absolute favorites. She enjoys exploring, whether off-leash on country trails or on a leash. She thrives on companionship and loves to be by her human's side, snoozing nearby or snuggling on the couch. She plays well with a male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and tends to prefer male dogs, so she would likely do best with a male canine companion or as the sole princess of the household. She simply wants to be an integrated part of your life, not isolated.
